Views On Barzakh
Death means separation of the soul from the body. What according to Ghamidi sahab is the Islamic view on Barzakh? After the soul is taken off the body, it is put into barzakh wherein the soul can hear the footsteps of people walking away from the grave. The soul can also hear people carrying the body to the grave as it hastens to get into the grave if it is righteous: it says “قدمونی”. But it is one thing for the soul to hear what is going on around the body and another thing to know exactly that it is being taken to the grave or perhaps it can hear people say kalimah shahada? But it seems that it does not only hear some voices but it hears them in the same manner as it would if it was in its body. But when does this connection break? And does it break it for all people alike regardless of their righteousness level?
