Since there was no way to prove who the father of an illegitimate child was, therefore, it was quite logical to declare that the child could not become heir to his (biological) father. However, with the advancement in science, it is now possible to prove for sure who is the real father of the child, therefore, now, he can become heir to his biological father’s estate.
