Kissing The Floor During Prostration
Asselamu aleykum,
While prostrating in namaz, I sometimes kiss the surface where I prostrate, and I am sure that some other people also do that. Is it permissible? Actually, I do not consider it as a part of religion, thus it would not be considered as Bidah.
So, Kindly clarify this in the light of Qur’an and Sunnah, Thanks.

In matters of ibadah (worship) when you introduce anything that was not practiced at the time of Prophet Muhammad SAW then it is considered as bidah (innovation). If you do not consider it as a part of religion then there is no reason to intermix it with an act of worship anyway.
