If Laws Are Unfair, Do You Still Have To Obey Them?
As an example, the patent laws. If someone (person A) patents their idea, so that none else can copy their idea and compete with them, it does make sense. But what if someone else (person B) comes up with that idea naturally without knowing or looking at that patented idea? Obviously he will be sued and at most be asked to remove his idea from the market. But in this case, this is clearly unfair to the person B as he came up with an idea with his own hard work which turned out to be coincidently similar to an already patented idea.
So, in both cases the person, the person B will be sued and have his product removed from the market. So, he is sinful in the worldly laws but is he sinful in second case from Islamic perspective? If he comes up with an idea and then later sees it as patented by someone else and still publishes his product, it doesn’t make sense to me he will be sinful from Islamic perspective. What do you say?

With human laws, the terms are crime and criminal or offense and offender, not sin and sinful. In that case, the person is not sinful of course, but the law will look at his activity as criminal or offensive.
