Gifting Perfume To Opposite Gender (woman)
AoA,
I have a question regarding gifting perfume to a woman (friend or colleague). Wearing a fragrance is the Sunnah of our beloved Holy Prophet MUHAMMAD (SAW). But wearing a fragrance to attract opposite gender will be considered wrong. Keeping this in mind, lets say if I (as a male gender) gifts woman a perfume. I don’t know that with what intention she will use perfume. It can be right or wrong. What if she uses that perfume with the intent to attract opposite gender or to get their attention, will the person who gifted that perfume to her, be sinful too?

وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ۚ وَإِن تَدْعُ مُثْقَلَةٌ إِلَىٰ حِمْلِهَا لَا يُحْمَلْ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ
[So, be on guard! On the Day of Judgement] no bearer of burden will bear someone else’s burden. And if a person laden by his burden will call out to share it, nothing shall be shared from it even if [the one who is called] is near of kin (35: 18)

Can we safely apply this Quran verse as a general principle in every matter (apart from gifting perfume) ?

No. Nothing is prohibited unless something unethical is involved. It is dress, makeup, perfume, etc if they cross the limit of decency, that way of use is prohibited, not the things themselves.
