Obligation To Attend The Friday Sermon In Today's Time
Asselamu aleykum,
According to Ustad-e-Mohtaram (ha), Friday prayers should be given by the presidents (or) prime ministers of the country. But, nowadays Imams are giving the prayers of Friday. So it is desirable to pray Friday prayers. But, if one is not praying the friday prayers, then he should pray the obligatory Dhuhr.
My question is, Is it permissible to reach the mosque during the last few minutes, before congregation? (i.e skipping the khutbah. Because, Imam Sb., ha, tells about the traditionalist views, while, I agree to the opinions which are more based on the reason). It also qasr the dhuhr into two rakats.
