The Meaning Of "Every Occurrence/Thing'S Cause Is Allah"
hello there, Assallam u alaikum.
my question is that when it is said that everything is caused by Allah or Allah is the cause of everything. what does this thing mean? if a chain of actions happen in a domino effect. like a wall was destroyed, because the car hit it, the car hit because brake failed, brake failed because they were rusted. so what concept should a Muslim have in mind? does he need to say that every step of action was done actively by Allah’s intervention and his command and his power?
or these things automatically with their nature but everything happened because Allah allowed it to happen and didn’t stop it and everything was under Allah’s permission and will?
Some people say that it was all done by Allah (caused by Allah) but each of the reasons in this chain of action, was the MEDIUM through which Allah did it… shall a Muslim believe like this?
or like instead of thinking like Allah caused these things directly, a Muslim should think that these happened naturally but they all happened under the permission and will of Allah. and nothing in the chain of events the happened, was outside the will of Allah…??

Your second thought is right:

and when Allah wills, He intervens to chang the cours of actions.
