  • Does A Muslim Get Reward For Any Incidental Benefit To Others Too?

    Assalamualaikum, Hello there

my question is that some scholars say that for getting reward from Allah for any action. the intention to seek Allah’s pleasure should be there as a condition. without this intention there’s no reward in hereafter.

but some scholars say that a Muslim receives reward from Allah for any benefit that comes to him from Allah even if he didn’t intend the aim of reward from Allah. example if a man plants a tree for his own benefit of getting shadow. later some other birds and passengers also take benefit from this tree then will he get reward for their benefits too?

There is no need to mention that a Muslim does a good thing with the intention of getting a reward from his God because he already believes in God and the reward and knows that every bit of his deeds will be judged. He needs not to make a formal or verbal intention for every good act of his.
