Is it ok to buy shares of a dining company with bakery stores and cafes but the one which also has cocktail lounges since it involves alcohol?

Please see Faisal sb responses in Discussion 22580

Same reasoning can be applied in this situation too.

    Below is from company’s website.

“Chanson International is a continuously evolving full-service dining company. The Company operates more than 30 locations internationally, including bakery stores, cafes, and cocktail lounges. Its menu features Baguettes, Croissants, Eclairs, Cakes, Ficelle Sandwiches, Salads, Artisinal Teas, Coffee Beverages, Craft Cocktails, and more. Chanson International generates revenue from two primary sources: the sale of food & beverages and the distribution of bakery products”.

It appears that company’s main business is roasting chain and coffee business and it is not in the profit-making alcohol industry. Should we still refrain from buying its stocks?

If the business is not essentially a haram business you can invest. Only the portion of the profit, whatever it is, which comes from the sale of haram products will be haram. The rest of the profit will be halal. Now you have to determine how much it is. If it is negligible you can ignore it, if it is somewhat significant, you can give that amount of haram profit to charity without expecting a reward.
