Assalamualikum. Does masturbating without ejaculating require ghusal(bath) afterwards? In other words can one give pleasure to his/her private parts by performing edging (the act of stopping masturbation as soon as when one is about to ejaculate.) So do we have to take a bath even if we dont ejaculate?

It is the ejaculation that obligates ghusal, if it does not happen, ghusal is not wajib.
