    Asselamu aleyküm,

I have heard that Prophet Yunus (as) spent days in the belly of whale. My question is, How is it possible for someone to survive in the belly of whale, for even few hours? Many people question this, to go against logic. Kindly clarify my query, Thanks.

@codename.AJK I have already saw this video on YouTube. But, my question is, how he was alive in the belly of whale for days? I mean how he was breathing for days, there?

The confusion starts when we say “I have heard“ so and so. Please always consult the primary source of religious knowledge, i.e. the Scripture, to clarify questions and confusions, instead of relying on hearsay.
The incidence of fish is mentioned in Chapter 37 of Quran:
37:142 Thus a whale swallowed him, and he was the one to blame.
37:143 And had it not been that he was one of those who implored,
37:144 He would have stayed in its belly until the Day of Resurrection.
37:145 So We threw him on the shore while he was sick.

As you will notice, there is no mentioning that Prophet Younis stayed in the belly of fish “for days”. It could have been (likely) just a few minutes, or a short time before the fish threw him up again. It could have been just one minute or so, we do not know for sure.

Hassan sb, i think this statement is incomplete without mentioning 21.87-88. though not clear in stating time period. It may be argued that he spent some time there
