  • Order Of Recitation In Salah

Attached is a excerpt from “Asan Fiqah’ by Maulana Yousaf Islahi and his point of view aligns with general practices in Hanafi maslak in Pakistan.

    1. Is it established makrooh to recite surahs in reverse order? Or is it just an opinion?
    2. Is it really makrooh to recite one surah in first raka’at and in second raka’at skip one and recite the next. For example, Surah Lahab in first, (Surah Ikhlas skipped), Surah Falaq in Second.

    Regards

There is nothing that came from the prophet in this regard. It is about the Zauq or aptitude of a person that such things do not seem appropriate. Ony may have a different priority in this regard. For example, I do not think it inappropriate not to keep the order of the surahs.

All clear. In this case, the Fiqah has no right to say it is makrooh! (Strangely enough, only in Farz namaz).

    Thanks for the answer 🙂
