  • Mistake In Salah – I Did Not Pay Salam Properly

    Asselamu aleyküm,

When I was offering the Salah of Dhuhr. I did not pay salam properly.

I mean when I pay the left salam, I said “Assalamualaikum warahmatullah”. But, I turned my face straight before completing these words in hurry. Because, there was my older brother standing outside the home waiting for me to open the door. But I completed my words.

So my question is, is my Salah valid?

If you had turned your face and said السَّلاُمُ عَلَيكُمْ وَ رَحْمَتُ اللهِ then you have fulfilled the obligatory part of Salah so your prayer is valid. But if you had missed any of the part then you can perform Sajda-e-Sehaw.

Actually, I said ‘Assalamu alaikum warahmatullah’. But, did not turn my face properly. i.e turned my face straight, before completing the full sentence (assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah).

It seems fine, the Salah is valid. Besides you had already said the right side Salam properly which fulfils the minimum requirement. But for the sake of your satisfaction, you can perform two prostrations of Sajda-e-Sehaw.
