This is called poetic license. One reads and sees how a poet deals with this kind of idea.

There is nothing wrong listening to poetry/music/Qawali as long as there is nothing immoral and polytheistic in that poetry. As far as Allama Iqbal’s Shikwa is concerned, there is nothing objectionable in that poetry.
