I read in a couple of places on the internet that no Mughal king or Ottoman Khalifa ever performed hajj, not even Aurangzeb Alamgir, Is it true ? or propaganda ? Did they not perform Hajj or Umrah before they were crowned ? If there is a source regarding this information, I’ll be glad to see.

It is difficult to say anything about it as the history is not communicated with 100% reliable methods. Even if they didn’t perform, whats the issue?

This is more of a history question than a religious one so it is better to ask a scholar of history.

Secondly, it also does not seem like an issue to me. Ottoman and Mughal Empires were not Pakistani (i.e they were not exactly our kings). And from a Muslim point of view, neither of those empires are presented as ideal examples for Muslims. That position mostly belongs to the Rashidun Khalifat.
