From my understanding, in various places in Qur’an, Allah swears upon certain things in different Surah’s. However, correct me if I’m wrong if he isn’t swearing upon them.

Some examples are in Surah al-Tin 95:1-3, Allah says, “By the fig and the olive, and Mount Sinai, and this secure city!” Or in Surah al-Duhaa 93:1-2 where Allah says, “By the morning sunlight, and the night when it falls still!”

Why does Allah swear upon specific things like He does in these Surah’s?
