    Assalamu Alaikum

First of all each and every language goes through many changes through time, what does he mean when he says that the language has reached us through consensus, Arabic has gone through many changes as well?

If the language of Quran is preserved in such a sure way as i know WW1 happened, then how did we lose the meaning of Huroof-al-Muqatta’at?

It is evident that the language of Qur’an is preserved. Every word of it known and it meaning. Th classical languages used is still the same.

The meaning of the separate letters were never told by the orient. They are not words to have meanings but letters which are used to name some surahs.

The scholars tried to determine if there were any symbolic meaning attached to them. It was an extra job they tried to do, not required by Qur’an.
