This is a question in response to a video i have seen of ghamidi sahab where someone asked him if a girl and can get married after they have committed adultery. His reply was that if he has repented than he should marry a pure woman otherwise its haram. What if the woman has also repented and both the man and woman wants to have nikkah and never go near adultery. Is it still haram to get married to each othe? Even if they really like each other?

What if they were engaged to be married but in that wating period they commit these sins, but are both guilty and fearful of Allah. Still is it haram to get Married? Why did ghamidi sahab say its haram it makes things so difficult for people wo like eavh other and really want to get married but due to society pressure there is delay. They are also human and can fall into sin. How can this be haram if they are guilty and fearful of Allah .

    Kindly share the video.

From what I have understood from Ghamidi Sahab. It is only haram to marry a person who has been convicted of zina in court and after that their crime and punishments are made public then it becomes haram for believers. If one repents before being punished then there is no restriction.

After being convicted, person who have committed zina can’t marry a pure believer, they can only marrry another person who is also guilty of zina in court. (See Qur’an 24:2-3)
