As long as there are reasonable controls that customer gets what he pays for and can return if not happy there is no problem with affiliate marketing.
When assessing if a particular affiliate marketing program is ok or not, use the following criteria
1. Customers can return goods easily and get their money back
2. You are adding value to the supply chain that justifies your commission. E g. helping supplier find a customer or helping customers find the right product etc.
