    Why Hazrat Jibrael AS Has High Stature Despite All Angels Obedient

    Assalam o alaykum

    I have a question regarding Rooh ul Qudus Jibrael AS that when all the angels are bound to be good and obedient unlike humans. They all worship Allah SWT so why some angels specially Jibrael AS is highest or prominent of all. And why he is named Rooh ul Qudus?

    We are not told why he was chose or appointed as a chief of angels. He was assigned the noblest job of delivering the message to God to the prophets.

    The meaning of his title Rooh Al qudua is the pure spirit.

    Ghamidi sahab explains that Rooh does not mean soul. It means a light blow of breath (Allah blew his breath into Adam pbuh). Then why the word rooh is translated to spirit when it appears in rooh ul qudus? Doesn’t spirit means soul?
