According to van putten the manuscript evidence shows hafs recitation in vocalised manuscripts is rare until recently and his reading has many non hijazi/qureshi features what is the response to this?

Qirat Amma which is termed as Qirat hafs is a wide spread recitation since centuries. The exegetes, jurists have been quoting it. The people have been reciting it in daily prayers, memorising the same. No one ever reported that there was some discrepancies here or there.

Errors in preparing a copy were noticed and rejected as we do now.

Thai living practice cannot be nullified by finding error in some copies or in the difference of script which evolved over time.

If researcher has to report from all the avenues islamic disciples to prove that Hafs qirat was adopted later and before that some other recitations were in practice.
