Why do Muslim scholars talk about other religious sacred texts so superficially? They don’t know the original languages of those texts, can’t consult the original sources, and don’t bother to learn them… they simple rely upon any translation that they can find! If a non Muslim intends to study and teach Quran, learning the Arabic is a prerequisite for him…but why is it not so if a Muslim Scholar wishing to study academically the Bible etc? Thanks

The Bible has lost the original text. All that is available is translations and translations of the translations. Everyone has to rely on the translations. The best that can be done is to compare the translations to reach a better understanding of the text.
