    Assalam o alaykum

    I have a question about keeping dog without a purpose asa companion,

    Can anyone send me video link of sir ghamidi about keeping dogs in home.

    And also can someone tell me please about the following Hadiths that they are authentic or not;

    “Keeping a dog in one’s house is a cause for the angels not entering “

    And

    “ whoever keeps a dog which is neither meant for hunting nor for herding livestock nor for watching the field Shal loose two queerats( portions) of reward every day “

    And

    “ And the worst of dogs is the black dog and should not be kept for any purpose , as it is a devil”

    JazakAllah khair

    Thank you very much. JazakAllah khair.

    Thank you for your time and effort.

    May Allah reward you with best.

      While understanding any hadith, especially those which prima facie appear to give an absolute directive, following points must be kept in mind:

      Secondly, the hadith regarding black dog, when contemplated upon, clearly shows that it was a temporary measure taken to counter a certain situation that could’ve arisen due to a number of reasons and one black dog could’ve caused the most harm (may be because of troubles created for the peeople by too many street dogs, which happens even today in countries like Pakistan and dogs have to be culled when they start harming people). This is in no way an absolute directive:
