Impure Floor And Spread Of Impurity
Salam,
Firstly I would like to clarify that I am someone that battles ocd and waswasa on a daily basis. I used to live a reckless life with regards to impurities and spreading them. I walked on my tiled floor in the kitchen with wet impure sandals. The sandals were made impure by stepping on impure water. I didn’t pay attention to it as we don’t pray in this area. Recently I noticed my father mopping this section and then mopping the whole house, thus spreading the impurity everywhere. My mother says to ignore it as once the impure water dried on the tile it became purified, we jus can’t do tayyumum on it unless we wash it. I know the general consensus is that you’d have to wash it which is why I am now confused. I feel like my mum is just telling me this to ease my ocd
