Islam is distinct in its claim to truth because it asserts to be the guidance directly from God, both embedded in human nature and further clarified through prophets, with Prophet Muhammad being the last in this chain. The foundational sources—the Quran and Sunnah—have been continuously transmitted without interruption through generations, providing an unbroken and verifiable link to the original teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. Thus, Islam positions itself as the final, preserved revelation from God, distinct from other faiths which either do not claim direct revelation or have seen interruption in their original message. This chain of preservation and consensus among the Prophet’s companions is a unique feature of Islam’s authenticity claim,. Furthermore, it is argued that while all religions teach good morals, only a revelation from the creator, with its guidance and limits, holds the ultimate truth. Human efforts to discover morality on their own are seen as insufficient compared to divine guidance.

Can an agnostic person go to Jannah?
Entry into Jannah (Paradise) is not strictly based on the identity of being Muslim, Christian, or following another religion. The Quran sets out three main conditions for salvation: believing in one God without associating partners (no shirk), belief in the Hereafter, and doing good deeds. The determining factor is the extent of knowledge that reached a particular individual and how sincerely they responded to it. If someone did not have access to the message of Islam or was agnostic due to honest confusion and a lack of clarity—not out of stubborn denial—they will be judged fairly and justly by God, based on the guidance and knowledge they received and acted upon. God’s judgment is based on justice and mercy, and deliberate denial of the truth, after it has become clear, is the basis for exclusion from Paradise.
