    AslamoAlikum Everyone.

    .

    I wanted to ask that in Islam it is prohibited to touch in any way a na-mahrem.

    But could a na-mahrem (Elder than us but still unmarried) can put hand with respect to the younger one Like a mother does to her Son usually?

    One of my elder cousin who is unmarried put forward her hand to shake but i refused because my religion doesn’t permit but i was also confused that this would be disrespectful So i lower my head and She then caress (with respect put her hand) over my head.

    This is for illustrating more clearly to you.

    Also Clarify this is both case. Elder na-mahrem (both weather married or not)
