  • Why Do We Need God When We Have Physical Laws?

Posted by umer Khan on March 28, 2021 at 12:18 am

Although belief in God is rational and there are 99 percent chances of existance of God but there are some of questions left behind regarding it.

    1) Universe seems to be bonded within just physical laws so why not physical laws instead of God?

    2) Universe takes Billions of years to reach a stage when life is possible so it seems no influenece of any other being in its creation so it more seems the product of blind natural forces instead of supernatural being because if any God created it then why it takes billions of years to came into being?

    3) What is role of universe other than our planet ? Is it suggests that all Gods lie on just our planet ?

I have ignored these questions because other evidences are enough for existance of God but people repeatedly ask these questions and cause doubts in minds.

Please try to give a proper and satisfactory answer to these questions

It’s true that matter obeys physical laws. But there is non-physical / metaphysical substance in the universe as well. Information, consciousness, even the concept of law itself are not physical. What we call physical laws are nothing more than relationships between material things or concepts that arise thereof. Physical laws do not create matter. Physical laws only determine how matter works. Besides, laws don’t appear out of thin air – some intelligent entity creates matter in such a way that it conforms to physical laws.

As per Ask Ghamidi rules, only one question is allowed per discussion.

It is our veiw that conciousness is not physical . Neuroscientists almost have a consences that it is also product of matter and reason is if we hit a person on brain or either he have a brain disoder he will lose his conciousness then how is it possible that conciousness is immaterial. Moreover we observe that it developes with development of brain gradually in children

Just like if we take out the spark plugs, a car won’t run. It doesn’t mean that the car doesn’t have an engine.

There are plenty of neuroscientists that do not subscribe to the viewpoint that you stated above. Besides, science by definition only deals with matter – metaphysical substance is out of it’s domain.

    1. God is not created in response to human needs God is there since the beginning no matter we or anyone else recognizes a need to have a God or not. If there were no God there would be no law of nature because it’s God who has created the law of nature. It’s like saying if we have iphones why do we need Apple? If you can answer this question you can also answer your question too.

    2. Since we don’t know the whole plan it’s not our place to object on the creation process or speed. It’s like asking the Boeing company why do they take so long to make a plane instead of mass productions that can lower the cost. You will know only when you are part of their management team. We will know the answer of why baby making takes 9 months and not 9 minutes and why trees take years to grow and not weeks once we meet God and given an opportunity to ask questions.

    3. Quran has informed us of an inter planetary self aware and free will gifted creature called Jinns. Our own knowledge about the universe and other planets is also limited. So how can you say that God seems to be bothered about the planet earth only and not other planets?
