My brother is severely disabled and depends on others to use the bathroom, take shower etc. My parents take care of him, along with the help of a female nurse, and sometimes siblings (brother and sister) help too.

What is the Islamic position on gender interaction in the case of disabled or old people who need help with basic needs (like going to bathroom etc.), between mahrams (e.g. sister taking care of brother or vice versa) and non-mahrams (e.g. female nurse taking care of male or the reverse, or daughter-in-law taking care of old father-in-law)?
