صلوٰۃ کے معنی / Meaning Of Word Salah
صلوٰۃ کے معنی میں ایک موقف اختیار کی جاتا ھے جس کے مطابق صلوٰۃ کے معنی اگرچہ نماز کے بھی ہیں لیکن یہ معنی ثانوی ہیں. صلوٰۃ کے اصل معنی زندگی کے ہر شعبہ میں قوانین الہی کی پیروی کرنا ھے یعنی ایک ایسے نظام کی تشکیل، جس میں مکمل طور پر اللہ کے احکامات کی اطاعت کی جائے.
جاننا یہ چاہوں گا کہ اس موقف میں کتنی سچائی ھے. نیز یہ وضاحت بھی درکار ھے کہ اپنے لغوی معنی میں یہ لفظ قرآن پاک میں کس انداز میں استعمال ہوا ھے.

When the Quran commands the believers aqim al-salah and its cognate terms, it means to diligently offer the Salah. The Prophet Muhammad (sws) and the Muslim community of his time took it to mean the same salah the Muslims offer all over the world. It has not been constructed on the basis of isolated hadith reports but the entire Muslim generation of the Prophet’s time was taught this and their children leant it from them. The process continued till our time without interruption. Therefore, there is no doubt in that the first addressees of the Quran including the Prophet (sws) took the word to mean the salah we know today. Our knowledge is absolutely certain and sound as it has reached us through the most authentic historical process. The Quranic references to salah also make it abundantly clear that it is only the worship ritual which is intended. The word Salah as a terminology was well know to Arabs to mean the worship ritual.
