– Regarding verses of Surah Ahzab (50-53), one thing needs to be kept in mind that this Surah is addressing the startegies adopted by ‘Munafiqeen’ and ‘Yahood’ to malign the chanracter of the Prophet (Sws) and his household because if they’d been successful, then His claim of prophethood would’ve come to an end and people would’ve been dissuaded by Him. Therefore, the verses regarding marriages of prophet, instructions as to how wives of Prophet should behave and how Muslims in General should behave when to approach Prophet’s (SwS) household, were given explicitly and in a clear manner. So that strategies of hypocites can be countered and they couldn’t find a way to scandalize the household of the Prophet or to point fingers at the character of the Prophet (Sws).

– Verses of Surah Tehreem must also be seen in the same light where wives of the Prophet (Sws) were being told on how to behave w.r.t Prophet Muhammad (Sws), because if marital issues of Prophet were left to the parties to handle themselves, it could’ve affected both the duties of prophethood and could’ve given the conspirators a reason to conspire against the prophet and take advantage of the situation. Therefore, such differences were resolved by the God to avoid prolongation of such issues.
