  • Who Are Ummat-e-Wast?

Posted by Ali on January 4, 2022 at 7:24 am

    Salam,

I was listening to Khalid Zaheer sahab. 12:25 to 13:00.

Khalid Sahab, it seems he is saying that we are not ummat e wasat, rather, Bani Ismail are. I think he is saying Arabs are ummat e wasat.

How can this be correct that there is difference between muslims who happen to be non arabs, I mean according to the best of my information non Arab Sahaba (I mean Hazrat Suhaib Rumi and Hazrat Bilal and others) existed. Those sahabis might have carried same mission of spreading islam and assisting prophet in his mission.

So how can non Arab muslims be different. Can the ayat not be referring to all muslims as one qoum? Or perhaps is addresing Arabs of Ummul Qura who lived during prophet’s time, but applies to all muslims?
    Thanks in advance.
