After Prophet Muhammad (Sws) and final itmam-e-hujjat and domination of Islam in whole Arabian Peninsula, the only responsibilty that bani-ismael and by extension, we Muslims have now is giving Shahdah on the world through propagation of this religion by spreading the word of God i.e. Quran. The difference is that we as common Muslims are not obligated to do this, while Bani-Ismail on the other hand have this religious obligation to perform this duty of Shahdah at a collective level. If we try to peform an obligation which was not given to us primarily then we will end up ignoring our genuine obligations which were given to us as individual Muslims [1]. We common muslims in our individual capacity are only responsible for our immediate circle and after that, if we get time and resources, we can choose to do dawah in other circles as well.
