More Scholars Like Javed Ahmed Ghamidi
Assalam Alaikum, I am struggling to find like-minded scholars as Javed Ahmed Ghamidi who emphasize on Qur’an and Mutawattur Sunnah, and consider ahadith as merely a best attempt of historical collection rather than (the traditional misconception of it being) a complete source of Sunnah.
Most intellectual scholars including Dr Zakir Naik (unfortunately) claim Sahih Al Bukhari to be 100% correct and authentic. And the same goes with almost all top Arab scholars who publicly appear on TV/YouTube, they love to be a part of a sect.
Can you please share more scholars with similar approach as Javed Ahmed Ghamidi, both in Pakistan and elsewhere.

Because of ahl-e-hadith mentality taking over the masses, majority of scholars from all the sects now prefer this approach when talking to common public, despite the fact their school represents a different epistemology originally; therefore finding scholars who follow an epistemological approach close to Ghamidi Sahab are hard to find (This thread may be helful in this regard: Discussion 78557).
Mufti Kamran Shahzad Sahab, despite his several disagreements with Ghamidi Sahab on applied matters, is very close to his epistemology as far as certain basic principles are concerned regarding sources of religion and principles of understanding those sources, and he preaches them in a very bold and logical manner.
