If a person is wronged and they have a natural urge to ask Allah for vegenance.

Generally my question is how to fully understand a badua/cursing, like when does Allah consider it? Like if someone feels great anger towards the guilty and desire it in his heart for something bad to happen to them then at that moment, the dua has been made? Or is it only if a person ask for it from Allah formally (e.g like supplicating for it in a prayer)?

Is it considered accepted if Allah fufills it in this life or is it delayed as a case on Day of Judgment? Does cursing alone decreases the sin or is it because it’s being accepted to some extent that decreases it i.e some punishment has been given?

Aisha reported: Something of hers was stolen, so she began to supplicate against the thief. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do not lighten his sin.”
