@UmerQureshi as sir umer said that if marriage with woman is allowed then it automatically means marriage with ahl e kitab men is not allowed. so can this ayat be interpreted that, since only woman of ahl e kitab is mentioned here. so if a new monotheist religion forms today called XYZism, so this non ahl e kitab (even if they are monotheist and also don’t have corrupted shirk beliefs like christians), their woman would still be not allowed. even if for example they live under total Muslim dominance (like the christians and Jews at that time of prophet), and they are monotheist, then still marriage to their woman is not allowed because they are not among ahl e kitab groups.

would such an interpretation be valid?

For people of the book of that time, we have a clear directive. As for the future religions, we would need to do ijtihad i.e. if they practice open polytheism admittedly then their treatment would be the same as with other polytheists, and if they have polytheistic beliefs but under umbrella of monotheism (like Christians for example), then they could be treated under the same directive for people of the book if they claim to be non-muslims; but if they claim to be Muslims then no explicit ruling can be given. In such instances, it comes down to one’s own sensitivity towards certain core beliefs of Islam and whether one wants to engage in a marital relationship with a group holding beliefs which are against those core beliefs.

@UmerQureshi so sir can we say that when Quran says halal for you are woman. so it means only woman of ahl e kitab are halal because only zikr of Woman was made even though there were almost same numbers of man also present at that time, yet Quran didn’t make a mention of it. But in the same ayat Quran mentions that the woman that are made halal is of ahl e kitab. but this doesn’t necessarily mean that some other religion girl (which is true monotheist or proclaimed monotheist like Christian) won’t be allowed. because Quran is addressing a situation about that time and at that time only 3 major religions were present which Muslims were dealing with. one is mushrik (which is prohibited) and the other 2 are Jews and christian (which they are said to be halal). so the requirement of addressing Muslim was completed upon just talking about Jews and Christian. so that’s why their mentioning was enough for anything that is similar to them. and it’s not like only these ahl e kitab are allowed and others are not allowed. as in case with that only woman are allowed and man are not. am I right sir?

If we reach to a conclusion with our ijtihad w.r.t any other religion that they can be associated with people of the book, then we can apply the same directives to them as are regarding people of the book. An example would be when punishment related to people of the book under itmam-e-hujjat was imposed on magians of persia. However, Ghamidi Sahab does not support this view that the directive of marriage with women of the people of the book is still valid in current scenario.

“any other religion that can be associated” you mean that they are similar in illat and nature, right sir? even if they are not directly christians or Jews themselves etc right sir?
