Punishment Of Fornication If The Matter Is Not Known To The State
If two individuals commit zina whether opposite genders or the same,and then repent afterwards, would that be enough in the sight of Quran?
Since only those two individuals know about this act and no third person knows, And since the punishment is 100 lashes,how would this be carried out. Is state or government only responsible for giving 100 lashes? If yes then what if no one knows about the act of zina,then would repentance only be enough for those individuals? Or would they themselves have to secretly ask someone to give them hundred lashes incase no one knows about the act of zina that they both carried out? Please advise on this.
