Bismillahir Rahman Rahim
I have a few barsi’s (Death anniversaries) to attend in the next few days and I wanted to know, according to the Quran and the authentic hadith’s what is haram to do during a barsi so that I avoid doing them myself.

Barsi is not a religious event therefore there are no religious guidelines available in this regard. We can go to a Barsi but we should refrain from engaging in any religious activity done in the name of Barsi because such religious activities are Biddah in religion.
