Who Is Mushrik
Who is a mushrik? For e.g if someone says that he is a polytheist and polytheism is the right path yet he isn’t convinced of monotheism that it is the truth then will he be a mushrik?
Secondly if a person claims himself that he is a disbeliever what our behavior towards him should be then?will it be necessary to cut off every ties with them?

In one of the threads you mentioned in it you mentioned two verses surah mumtahina verse 1 and 8. In verse one Allah forbids to befriend the kafir to the sahaba but In verse 8 He says that you can befriend anyone who hasn’t fought you for your religion so if a kafir of that time wouldn’t have fought the Muslims so were the sahaba allowed to be friends with them?or will the verse 1 commands were carried out that whoever is a kafir you aren’t allowed to befriend them whether they fought you or not

Before Surah Tauba final punishment, Muslims were allowed to do good to those polytheists who were not in open enmity to Islam.
