  • Dawah Scheme: Who Is Responsible To Spread Message Of Islam To The World

After sending his last prophet does Allah wants his deen to be conveyed to all people?

Here I don’t mean by force but as I’ve read about Dawah responsibility in Meezan and by other questions asked on this app, it seems this isn’t ‘foremost responsibility’ to give dawah to people for a common muslim.

And this makes sense because if it was, the muslim community is failing miserably in this. They don’t even ponder on their own book let alone giving it to others.

It seems Allah doesn’t mind if his message is not being conveyed to non muslims as a top priority because he has other standards to judge them on Qiyamah.

Non muslim brothers and sisters(mostly from christianity, jewish and hinduism) have their owm divine books too for some sort of guidance.

Am I coming to right conclusion or this is a top priority for muslims to convey Quran and Islam to all world.

It is not common man’s responsibility to convey the message of Islam to the whole world. But he is responsible for his surroundings as expounded in Meezan in the chapter: “Preaching Obligation of an Individual” that

“It is evident from the nature and scope of this preaching as mentioned in these verses that the preacher and the preached are not distinct from one another. Every person at all times acts as a preacher as well as an addressee to this preaching. This is evident by the words used by the Qur’an: بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاء بَعْضٍ (they are friends to one another). This responsibility should be discharged by a father towards his son and a son towards his father, a husband towards his wife and a wife towards her husband, a brother towards his sister and a sister towards her brother, a friend towards his friend and a neighbour towards his neighbour – in short, a person should discharge it towards every person who has an immediate relation with him. When he sees that someone among them has adopted an attitude which is contrary to the truth, he should try to urge him according to his knowledge, capacity and ability to mend his ways. It is quite possible that while at one time of the day we deliver some truth to a person, and at another time, he does this very service to us. Today, we may urge a person to the right way and tomorrow that person might urge us to the same. In short, a Muslim should keep discharging this duty in his immediate circle whenever he gets the opportunity.”

Spreading message of Islam i.e. Quran to the rest of the world is originally responsibility of Bani-Ismael till the day of judgement. We common muslims in our individual capacity are only responsible for our immediate circle and after that, if we get time and resources, we can choose to do dawah in other circles as well.

They are dispersed in the Middle East and other parts of the world. Their population is now a fraction of the total population of the Arabs.
