What is the lesson for us from the specific verses of the Qur’an which were meant only for the audience of that particular time?

It depends which specific verses are being discussed:
i) some were temporary strategies adopted to counter anti-islamic activities.
ii) some were related to the rank of Prophet (risalat) and are not applicable today because their intended results were achieved which provide a basis of preaching Islam in today’s time as well as a lesson how Risalat works (e.g. itmam-e-hujjat and special status of arabian peninsula etc.)
