Playstation 5 Game Gow Ragnarok
We all know Shirk is thr biggest sin in Islam.
My question is , there is a game very popular these days , rhey have named it God of war , its about someone who kills other so called gods in that Greek and Viking Mythology. So its that Mythology world. Is it Haram to play This game? As entertainment?? As we all know we humans created This game and ofcourse I hope nobody worships This creations.
Can someone explain This?
Would it be shirk to play This Game?

This Game God of war , the titel itself is already a Shirk. If I buy This game would I be promoting Shirk then?
And the game itself is about there so called mythological gods obviosuly its all nonsense and fantasy, But would like to know specifically for This game??

It cannot be said for certain. I think this is the place where you must decide yourself. Such kind of games do not promote Shirk as a belief system. They promote mythology as fiction. So in a way, it treats Shirk as fiction, as a non-reality. If you look at from that perspective, then it is harmless. However if you are convinced that you are promoting Shirk then perhaps you should avoid it.
But this is just advice. Just be caution, if you feel something is not right, it is best to take a break from it until you are certain that there is no harm. But based on our understanding, playing and buying such games is not haram. It is, however, something you should avoid if you can but if you must indulge in it, then be cautious. Be alert so that you may not end up doing something that’s actually haram. Always check yourself and you will be fine Inshallah.

The game itself may not be shirk but it may normalize the concept of multiple gods in the mind of adults over a long period of exposure and it may quickly influence young people and make it easier for them to accept the concept of multiple gods.
In that sense, the game may become a source or path leading to something hf a grave sin in Islam.
I would consider it in the same category of alcohol consumption. Which in its use may not be bad but it leads a person to comit sins.
Another example would be like watching porno, which may not be such a grave sin by itself but it may lead a person or normalize for a person to commit similar acts or commit adultery.
